Program Description

ShepherdOS is a church management platform operated by Collins Worldwide Co. When your church uses ShepherdOS, authorized members may receive SMS and MMS messages related to church operations, communication, and community engagement.

How You Opt In

You consent to receive text messages from your church via ShepherdOS through one of the following methods:

Texting a keyword — By texting a keyword (e.g., JOIN, VISIT, or a church-specific keyword) to the ShepherdOS phone number
Connection card — By providing your phone number on a church connection card (physical or digital) and checking the box to receive text messages
Event registration — By providing your phone number during event registration and consenting to receive event-related messages
Authorized staff entry — By providing your phone number to an authorized church staff member or pastor who enters it into the system on your behalf with your verbal or written consent

Types of Messages

You may receive the following types of text messages:

Visitor follow-up and welcome messages
Volunteer schedule reminders and shift notifications
Event notifications, updates, and cancellations
Prayer request confirmations and updates
Giving receipts and donation confirmations
Birthday and anniversary greetings
Service cancellation and emergency alerts
Small group and ministry team coordination
Children's check-in security codes and parent alerts

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on church activity and your level of involvement. Typical members receive 2 to 8 messages per month. Volunteers and ministry leaders may receive additional messages related to their service roles. You will never receive more than 30 messages per month.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from ShepherdOS. You will receive a one-time confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out. After opting out, you will no longer receive text messages unless you re-subscribe.

Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. ShepherdOS does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply. Please contact your carrier for details about your plan.

Privacy

Your phone number and personal information are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers are used solely for church communication through ShepherdOS. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Supported Carriers

ShepherdOS messaging is supported on all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and most regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
